The Client is a French group of hospitality units including hotels, Time-Share apartments and villas at a national level. With a long history in hospitality and several resorts in Southern France, the group has known a steady growth in the last 5 years with the construction of 7 new seaside and ski resorts.

The challenge

Communications are the lifeblood of any organization. That is even truer in the hospitality industry, where the final customer has to get a perfect service whenever and wherever he wants. So when one of Europe’s largest hospitality firms decided to start their new project, a resorts construction project encompassing a seaside village and two ski resorts, they needed nothing less than a state-of-the-art communication solution.

In the competitive context of their industry and the importance of their investment, it was important to put in place a solution that will not only reduce infrastructure and operational costs, but also ensure that their investment is protected with a solution that is easy to implement, maintain and upgrade.

Solution

The client trusted that Silatel possesses the experience, the resources and know-how for large-scale and complex projects, which will ensure a successful deployment and management of a customized solution maximizing value for the customer while minimizing costs. After a first assessment period, Silatel delivered a scope of work that explicitly described the solution that would meet client’s needs, within deadline and budget. The client agreed and Silatel took over the project management of the solution from end to end and delivered a ready-to-use complete system.

The proposed architecture was all based on IP technologies and centralized most of the infrastructure in one site to lower maintenance costs. The system was built around a unique core that serves the administration staff, the hotel customer (Rooms & Villas) and the Time-Share customer (Apartments). A seamless integration made it easy to manage all the services, including telephony, Video-on-Demand, Internet, Property Management and Billing via a unique interface.

As a result of Silatel’s expertise, the client was able to start marketing its new resorts on time and benefited from the enhanced communication tools provided by Silatel to improve its image and standard while maximizing operational efficiency. The client found that their investment in a communication solution with Silatel was rapidly repaid by the costs reduction and the increased productivity.
