What is the cost of a call?

Silatel offers a range of call packages with very attractive prices and bundled unlimited calls towards many destinations. The calls that are not within these bundled minutes and those towards the rest of the international destinations are invoices according to our Rate List.

  • All our rates are in euro cent per minute
  • Off peak rates apply everyday from 18:00 to 8:00 UTC
  • These rates DO NOT vary based on your geographical location

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP, usually read as "Voice over IP"), is a telecommunications system that uses the Internet or other Internet Protocol network to transmit telephone calls. A VoIP user can call any other classic fixed or mobile telephone user in any country. He can also receive calls from any telephone user.

 

What do I need?

  1. VoIP account
  2. Broadband internet connection.
  3. Analog Telephone Adaptor (ATA) to connect your phone or an IP phone.
  4. For more mobility you can also use a softphone.
 

Do I get a telephone number with my Silatel account?

Yes, Silatel offers vanity telephone numbers, geographic and non-geographic numbers.

Geographic numbers are provided randomly and according to your residence. However, non-geographic numbers can be selected. Vanity telephone numbers are available at an extra cost and are subject to availability.

 

Can I make phone calls when my computer is switched off?

Yes. You do not need your computer to be turned on unless you are using a softphone. If you are using an IP telephone or a VoIP adapter with your telephone, all you require is your modem or router need to be turned on and your connection active.
